Similar to gingerbread but lighter in texture.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 3-3/4 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 3/4 cup milk
Directions
- Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and ginger; set aside.
- Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
- Stir in molasses; mix well.
- Blend flour combination and milk into egg mixture.
- Pour batter into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
