Spiced Cranberries go great with Thanksgiving turkey but serve them with ham or chicken.
- 4 cups cranberries, washed and sorted
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 whole cloves
- 5 whole allspice
- 2, 3 inch cinnamon sticks
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar, 1 cup water, cloves, allspice and cinnamon. Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved; reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes.
- Add cranberries; cook, stirring one or twice, until cranberries pop---about 2 minutes. Remove from heat; cool. Refrigerate, covered, several days before using.
