Make extra of this dynamite rub to season fish or other proteins before cooking. Add it to marinades or sprinkle on warm pasta, rice or vegetables. Jazz up plain fruit with a dash for a surprisingly tasty snack.


  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper (preferably fresh ground)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt


  1. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and store in a zip lock bag.
  2. Rub on fish, poultry or meat before cooking.
