Spice Cake is firm, moist and delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Crisco
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup sour milk (milk with 1 tablespoon vinegar) and 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 cup raisins
Directions
- Cream together Crisco, sugar, eggs, salt, spices and milk mixture in large bowl. Add flour 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well before each addition. Add nuts and raisins and mix well. Bake in a well greased and floured Bundt pan at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
