Spatzels are homemade German egg noodles that taste great with gravy or just tossed with melted butter.
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 4 quarts boiling water, salted
- 1 tablespoon parsley
Directions
- In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Add eggs and milk and beat well. Let batter rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Hold a large holed colander over the pot of boiling water. Press batter through with a wooden spoon. Cook and stir for 5 minutes. Drain spatzels and add parsley.
