Spatzels are homemade German egg noodles that taste great with gravy or just tossed with melted butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 quarts boiling water, salted
  • 1 tablespoon parsley

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Add eggs and milk and beat well. Let batter rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Hold a large holed colander over the pot of boiling water. Press batter through with a wooden spoon. Cook and stir for 5 minutes. Drain spatzels and add parsley.
