Sparkling Christmas Punch is a great make ahead beverage. Freeze the concentrate and mix with ginger ale at serving time.

Ingredients

4 cups sugar
2 packages strawberry Kool-Aid
2 packages cherry Kool-Aid
1 (46 ounce) can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 (46 ounce) can unsweetened orange juice
2, or more, bottles of ginger ale
ice ring

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large container. Mix well until sugar and Kool-Aid dissolve completely. Add 2 bottles of ginger ale for each 4 cups concentrate in punch bowl. Decorate with an ice ring. May freeze concentrate.

There is no such list. You can even eat sugar! However, you need to work with your doctor to fugrie out exactly how many carbohydrates you should eat at each meal and for snacks. Some people try to drastically limit their carbohydrates, but this is difficult and generally not necessary. If you do not understand the balancing act between diabetes-food-medicine, then you need to work with your doctor more closely and a nutritionist. If you are seeing a general practitioner, it may be worth it to see a specialist (endocrinologist) a few times.
