Bread pudding and sauce recipe.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 cups toasted bread crumbs, rolled
- 1 cup butter
- 1 quart milk
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Cream together the bread and sugar. Mix in the remaining ingredients.
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until firm.
- To make the sauce: In a sauce pan combine 1 pint milk, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 2 eggs and 1 cup sugar. Stir until it thickens. Add in vanilla flavoring.
