Black pot beef stew recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef, cubed
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups tomatoes, cooked
- 2 cups water
- 5 potatoes, quartered
- 2 onions, quartered
- 1 cup green beans
- 1/2 cup carrots
Directions
- Brown the beef. Mix in the salt, pepper, tomatoes and water. Cover. Cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Reduce to a simmer, and cook for an additional hour.
- Mix in the potatoes, onions, beans and carrots. Cook for 25 minutes, or until tender.
- Remove the vegetables and meat from the pot. Add in flour to reach a desired consistency.
- Add the vegetables and meat back in and simmer for 5 minutes.
