Delicious soft and chewy molasses cookies.


  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Melt the butter over low heat in a large saucepan. Stir in the sugar, molasses, egg and vanilla extract. Continue heating on low until well combines.
  3. Drop teaspoons of dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 7-9 minutes, or until done, DO NOT overbake.
