Smoked Paprika Vinaigrette

Smoked paprika is dereived from smoke-dried red peppers. Its charactersitic flavor and vibrant color add a wonderful smokiness and red hue to this classic vingrette.


  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons sherry vinegar
  • 1 large shallot, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper


  1. Place the olive oil, vinegar, shallot, mustard, paprika, salt and pepper into a bowl and whisk vigorously until thoroughly blended. Serve immediately.
