Smoked paprika is dereived from smoke-dried red peppers. Its charactersitic flavor and vibrant color add a wonderful smokiness and red hue to this classic vingrette.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 tablespoons sherry vinegar
- 1 large shallot, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 3/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Directions
- Place the olive oil, vinegar, shallot, mustard, paprika, salt and pepper into a bowl and whisk vigorously until thoroughly blended. Serve immediately.
