Skillet Meat Loaf

Stovetop meat loaf.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Mix together the first 7 ingredients, reserving 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce. Form 2 loaves.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet. Brown both sides of the meat loaves. Cover and cook over low heat for 25-30 minutes.
  3. Combine the mustard, remaining tomato sauce, water and Worcestershire sauce. Drizzle over the meat loaves. Uncover and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
