Simple Sugar Cookies are no roll and no fuss.  This recipe makes 8 dozen cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine, softened
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 cups plus 4 heaping tablespoons flour

Directions

  1. Mix together all ingredients, except flour, and beat until fluffy. Add flour gradually blending well. Drop dough by teaspoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Press down with a fork.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 minutes.
