Simple Cream Cheese Icing is versatile for cupcakes and layer cakes.


  • 1 (8ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pound confectioners' sugar


  1. Cream cream cheese and butter in bowl until well blended. Beat in vanilla and add confectioners' sugar gradually until of spreading consistency.
  2. Spread between layers and over top of cake.
