This mixed drink gets its name from the Bénédictine used in the blend; an herbal liqueur that was originally developed as a medicinal aromatic herbal beverage by monks in France during the 19h century.
Ingredients
- 1 ounce Bénédictine
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
- 1 ounce light cream
Directions
- Place a cordial glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
- Pour all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and then fill with ice.
- Shake the mixture vigorously for 35 seconds until chilled, and then strain into the prepared glass. Serve immediately.
