Shrimp balls with tomato sauce gravy.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 4 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons flour
- GRAVY INGREDIENTS:
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 4 tablespoons oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- salt and pepper
- 3 cups water
Directions
- Grind together the shrimp, onion and garlic. Add in the rest of the ingredients. Form into small balls and roll in the flour.
- For the gravy: make a roux of flour and oil and saute the onions and green peppers in it. Stir in the water until smooth. Blend in the remaining ingredients.
- Add the shrimp balls to the gravy and simmer for 2 hours.
