Seven Layer Taco Dip

This dip is the perfect centerpiece for your appetizer buffet table. Serve with a basket of tortilla chips for dipping.


  • 1 can refried beans
  • 2 avocados
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons sliced black olives


  1. In a small bowl, mix the refried beans with the taco seasoning mix. Spread this mixture on the bottom of a pie plate.
  2. Peel avocados and remove pits; mash well with a fork. Mix the avocado with the lemon juice; season with salt and pepper to taste. Spread evenly on top of the beans.
  3. Top avocado layer with layers of all the remaining ingredients in the order listed above, and refrigerate until chilled.
