Instead of using rice as a side dish try this bulgur.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked bulgur wheat
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried whole marjoram
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

Directions

  1. Combine wheat, chicken broth, water and marjoram in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Cover and reduce heat.
  4. Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. Stir in green onions and parsley.
