Instead of using rice as a side dish try this bulgur.
- 1 cup uncooked bulgur wheat
- 1 can chicken broth
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon dried whole marjoram
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
- Combine wheat, chicken broth, water and marjoram in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cover and reduce heat.
- Simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Stir in green onions and parsley.
