Oyster loves will enjoy Scalloped Oysters, a real classic.


  • 1 cup cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 pint oysters, drain and reserve liquid
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Mix crumbs with melted butter. Butter a shallow baking pan; put a single layer of oysters on the bottom of the pan.
  2. Cover with part of the crumbs and dampen with oyster liquid. Arrange another layer of oysters and crumbs and dampen with oyster liquid again.
  3. Dot generously with butter and add seasonings. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until a rich brown color.
