Oyster loves will enjoy Scalloped Oysters, a real classic.
- 1 cup cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 pint oysters, drain and reserve liquid
- salt and pepper to taste
- Mix crumbs with melted butter. Butter a shallow baking pan; put a single layer of oysters on the bottom of the pan.
- Cover with part of the crumbs and dampen with oyster liquid. Arrange another layer of oysters and crumbs and dampen with oyster liquid again.
- Dot generously with butter and add seasonings. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until a rich brown color.
