Sautéed tomatoes and garlic make a lovely side dish that is fast, easy and delicious paired with your favorite main course meal. Use ripe, seasonal tomatoes from your local farmers’ market for the best results.


  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • Sea salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 handful fresh basil, chopped
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons


  1. Place the olive oil into a large sauté pan over medium heat. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the tomatoes and sauté until they burst open. Reduce the heat to low, and then stir in the minced garlic, basil and a few pinches of salt and pepper. Cook the mixture for a few minutes until the garlic is fragrant and then serve immediately.
