There is absolutely no point to serve plain, steamed broccoli any longer when this simple, healthy and delicious sautéed broccolini with garlic side dish can be made instead.
- 1 pound broccolini
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Place the olive oil into a sauté pan over medium heat. Once the oil begins to shimmer, add the broccolini and sauté for 4 minutes before adding the garlic and a few pinches of salt and pepper; cook for 2 additional minutes.
- Transfer the broccolini to a serving plate and then squeeze the lemon over the mixture. Serve immediately.
