Fresh kumquats add exceptional flavor to this exotic, sweet yet smooth cocktail.


  • 3 whole kumquats
  • 2 ounces Matusalem Amber rum
  • 1/2 ounce Velvet Falernum
  • 2 dashes Fee Brothers orange bitters
  • 1 wide lime zest sprial


  1. Muddle the kumquats in a cocktail shaker along with the Falernum, and orange bitters.
  2. Add the rum and then fill the shaker with ice.
  3. Shake the mixture for 5 seconds and then pour into a rocks glass.
  4. Garnish with a wide lime zest spiral and serve.
