This rye whiskey, bitters and absinthe cocktail is a simple, yet truly sophisticated and robust mixed drink.
- 2 ounces Rye Whiskey
- 3 dashes Bitters
- 1/2 ounce absinthe
- Lemon zest peel to garnish
- Place a cocktail glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to chill.
- Pour the absinthe into the prepared glass and tilt the glass to coat the inside. Pour out any extra absinthe, and then add the rye and the bitters.
- Garnish the drink with a lemon zest peel and serve immediately.
