Rye blended with curaçao and a few dashes of bitters make for an irresistible concoction. Use your choice of bitters, but Angostura bitters are recommended for this blend.
- 2 ounces rye whisky
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1/2 ounce curaçao
- Orange peel to garnish
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the orange twist, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into a wine glass.
- Garnish the drink with the orange zest twist and then serve immediately.
