Although a classic Hop Toad Cocktail is only made with apricot brandy and fresh lime juice, this spinoff drink adds an ounce of light rum into the blend. The result is a well-balanced and slightly richer beverage.


  • 1 ounce light rum
  • 1 ounce apricot brandy
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • Lime zest twist to garnish


  1. Pour all of the ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake the mixture vigorously for 35 seconds and then strain into cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish the cocktail with the lime zest twist and then serve immediately.
