Although a classic Hop Toad Cocktail is only made with apricot brandy and fresh lime juice, this spinoff drink adds an ounce of light rum into the blend. The result is a well-balanced and slightly richer beverage.
- 1 ounce light rum
- 1 ounce apricot brandy
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- Lime zest twist to garnish
- Pour all of the ingredients, except for the garnish, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake the mixture vigorously for 35 seconds and then strain into cocktail glass.
- Garnish the cocktail with the lime zest twist and then serve immediately.
