The yuzu is an aromatic citrus fruit that hails from East Asia. Enjoy it blended with Jamaican rum, fresh basil leaves and champagne in this unique cocktail.
- 1-1/2 ounce Jamaican rum
- 1/4 ounce yuzu juice
- 1 barspoon simple syrup
- 2 basil leaves plus 1 to garnish
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the garnish and champagne, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top the drink with the champagne and then garnish with a basil leaf; serve immediately.
