Simple and fast fried cornbread.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups white cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Directions
- Mix together the cornmeal and salt. Add the boiling water, stirring constantly.
- Heat oil in a skillet. Drop tablespoons of the batter in. Cook until lightly browned on both sides. Drain.
