Simple and fast fried cornbread.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups white cornmeal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Mix together the cornmeal and salt. Add the boiling water, stirring constantly.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet. Drop tablespoons of the batter in. Cook until lightly browned on both sides. Drain.
