Roasted quail dinner recipe.

Ingredients

  • 8 quail
  • 16 slices bacon
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Place a tablespoon of butter and slice of lemon inside each quail cavity.
  2. Rub the outside of the quail with the seasonings. Wrap each bird with 2 pieces of bacon, securing with a toothpick.
  3. Arrange the quail in a large skillet, add 1 cup of water. Cover and bake until tender, uncover and broil for 10 minutes or until browned.
