Roasted quail dinner recipe.
Ingredients
- 8 quail
- 16 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Place a tablespoon of butter and slice of lemon inside each quail cavity.
- Rub the outside of the quail with the seasonings. Wrap each bird with 2 pieces of bacon, securing with a toothpick.
- Arrange the quail in a large skillet, add 1 cup of water. Cover and bake until tender, uncover and broil for 10 minutes or until browned.
