Savory Rice with Consomme is a real flavorful twist on plain white rice.
- 2 cups long grain rice
- 2, 10 1/2 ounce cans beef consomme
- 2, 10 1/2 ounce cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 stick butter
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- Wash rice well and drain. Saute onions in butter until limp but not brown. Add consomme, mushroom soup and paprika and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Add rice. Pour into a 2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Stir and continue to bake for an additional 15 minutes.
