Maraschino cherries add a bit of color and texture to Raw Apple Cake.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup raisins
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon cocoa
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- small jar maraschino cherries
- 1 1/2 cup apples, chopped fine
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
Directions
- Mix all ingredients together and bake in a greased and floured Bundt pan at 300 degrees F for 45-50 minutes or until wooden skewer comes out clean when inserted in cake.
