Maraschino cherries add a bit of color and texture to Raw Apple Cake.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • small jar maraschino cherries
  • 1 1/2 cup apples, chopped fine
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together and bake in a greased and floured Bundt pan at 300 degrees F for 45-50 minutes or until wooden skewer comes out clean when inserted in cake.
