Ranch Style Steak is simmered in chili sauce and lima beans are added for extra protein.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 beef chuck arm steak, cut 1/2 inch thick
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 beef flavor bouillon cube
- 1 pound small white onions
- 2, 10 ounce packages frozen lima beans
Directions
- In 12 inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot oil, cook beef steak until well browned on both sides. Add garlic; cook over medium heat until golden. Stir in water, chili sauce, sugar, salt and bouillon; over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 45 minutes, turning steak occasionally. Skim off fat from liquid in skillet.
- Add onions and frozen lima beans; over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 40 minutes longer or until meat and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
