Pumpkin Spice Cake will fill your kitchen with warm and inviting aromas.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
Directions
- Cream shortening, sugar and eggs together. Blend pumpkin, milk and soda together. Sift flour and other dry ingredients together. Add sifted ingredients to shortening mixture, alternatively with pumpkin mixture.
- Pour into a well greased 9 by 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
