Pumpkin Bisque served in decorative ceramic bowls is the perfect soup for Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped fine
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 2, 16 ounce cans pumpkin
- 1, 13 3/4 ounce can chicken broth
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Melt butter. Add onion and celery seed. Cook until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring occasionally until soup comes to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes.
