Portugese Caipirinha

A little twist on the huge party favorite, Caipirinha.


  • 1 lime, washed
  • 2 teaspoons superfine sugar
  • 1 1/2 ounce cachaca
  • 1/2 ounce Madeira wine


  1. Slice the lime into eighths and place in the bottom of a tumbler. Pour in the sugar, and smash the limes using the bottom of a wooden spoon. Continue to smash and mix until the sugar has dissolved. Add crushed or small ice and pour the liqueur over.
