Pork Chop Sauerkraut Casserole is a flavorful dish made easy.
Ingredients
- 4 3/4 inch pork chops
- 2 cans Bavarian sauerkraut
- 2 tablespoons applesauce
- 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and halved
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Salt and pepper chops. Brown in hot shortening.
- Mix sauerkraut, applesauce, brown sugar, dry mustard and onion. Place this mixture in a casserole. Lay pork chops on top and place 1/2 of a potato on each chop. Cover casserole.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
