Pork Chop Sauerkraut Casserole is a flavorful dish made easy.

Ingredients

  • 4 3/4 inch pork chops
  • 2 cans Bavarian sauerkraut
  • 2 tablespoons applesauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and halved
  • 1 tablespoon shortening
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Salt and pepper chops. Brown in hot shortening.
  2. Mix sauerkraut, applesauce, brown sugar, dry mustard and onion. Place this mixture in a casserole. Lay pork chops on top and place 1/2 of a potato on each chop. Cover casserole.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
