Pop Corn Balls are a classic, fun to make family treat.


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • pecans or peanuts
  • popped corn
  • 1/3 cup white corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup hot water
  • pinch of salt


  1. Cook sugar, syrup, butter, cream of tartar, water and pinch of salt to hard ball stage. Add pecans/peanuts to popped corn. Salt corn and nuts very lightly. Pour syrup mixture over mixture and shape into balls.
