Adding sweet-tart pomegranate juice to a blend of muddled fresh limes, sugar and cachaça gives Brazil’s most famous cocktail wonderful vibrant color and bright taste.
- 3 limes, cut into 8 wedges each plus extra to garnish
- 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups unsweetened pomegranate juice
- 2 cups cachaça
- Place the limes and the sugar into a pitcher and muddle well to release the limes’ juices. Add the pomegranate juice and cachaça to the pitcher and stir well until the sugar has completely dissolved.
