This sweet and salty combination make Polish Sausage in Applesauce an unique appetizer.


  • 4 pounds Polish sausage
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 large jar applesauce
  • 1/2 pound brown sugar


  1. Prick sausage casing and bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees F. Take sausage out of pan and pour off grease.
  2. Cover with sliced onions. Pour applesauce over this and cover with brown sugar.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Cool and slice into 1/2 inch pieces. Serve warm in a chafing dish or crockpot.
