This sweet and salty combination make Polish Sausage in Applesauce an unique appetizer.
- 4 pounds Polish sausage
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1 large jar applesauce
- 1/2 pound brown sugar
- Prick sausage casing and bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees F. Take sausage out of pan and pour off grease.
- Cover with sliced onions. Pour applesauce over this and cover with brown sugar.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Cool and slice into 1/2 inch pieces. Serve warm in a chafing dish or crockpot.
