Fennel adds a subtly flavor to Snapper.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 pounds of red snapper

Directions

  1. Combine water, juice from the lemon, fennel seeds and bay leaf in a oval roaster.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add red snappers.
  4. Return to a boil, reduce the heat.
  5. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove snapper from pan with a spatula and serve.
