Piquant Mexican Sauce

Don’t just add plain strips of beef or chicken to your favorite fajitas. Coat them in this fresh lime juice and spice blend first for added taste and authentic Mexican flavor.


  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground chili powder
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • Salt, to taste


  1. Place the olive oil, lime juice, oregano, cumin, coriander, chili powder, garlic and a few pinches of salt and pepper to taste into a large bowl. Stir the mixture well to combine and then add cooked beef or chicken strips to the bowl. Toss well to coat and then cover the mixture and set aside for 30 minute at room temperature prior to serving.
