Basic pie shell recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 2-3 tablespoons ice water
Directions
- Mix together the flour and salt. Cut in the shortening until coarse and crumbly. Mix in the ice water using a fork, 1 tablespoon at a time. Shape into a ball.
- Roll out on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness.
