This recipe for Pepper Jelly makes 3 pints. Serve over a brick of cream cheese and have a variety of crackers available.
Ingredients
- 1 cup green peppers, chopped
- 1/4 cup jalapeno peppers, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
- 6 1/2 cups sugar
- 5 drops green food coloring
- 1 bottle of Certo
- paraffin wax to seal
Directions
- Process peppers and 1/3 cup vinegar in blender container. Combine with sugar and remaining vinegar in saucepan. Boil for 5 minutes. Stir in food coloring and Certo.
- Pour into hot sterilized jars leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Seal with paraffin.
