Sweet almond bread recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup choped pecans
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons shortening, melted
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour an 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Mix in the nuts.
- Cream together the egg, milk and shortening. Blend into the dry mixture. Mix until well combined.
- Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 55 minutes.
