Pecan Kisses are light meringue cookies that melt in your mouth.


  • 3 egg whites, room temperature
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Add salt to egg whites, beat until eggs start to foam. Add cream of tartar and beat until they hold peaks. Add sugar gradually, 2 tablespoons at a time, continue beating until stiff.
  2. Mix flour with chopped pecans and fold into egg whites. Add vanilla. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20 minutes.
