Don't get out the jelly. This delicious Peanut Butter Fudge is a treat all on its own.
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup chopped peanuts
Directions
- Combine sugar and milk in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium flame, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat and cook without stirring until the candy thermometer reaches 236 degrees or until a soft ball is formed when a small amount of syrup is dropped into very cold water.
- Turn off heat and cool to 165 degrees. Beat in the remaining ingredients.
- Pour into a buttered 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Chill until firm.
- Cut into squares.
