Perfect for a winter meal, Oven Beef Stew takes 6 to 7 hours to cook.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds stew beef, cubed
- 2 cups potatoes, chopped
- 2 cups green beans
- 2 cups carrots, chopped
- 2 cups peas
- 3/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 quart tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon tapioca
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
Directions
- Combine all ingredients except bread crumbs in 4 quart baking pan, mixing well. Top with crumbs. Bake covered, at 250 degrees F for 6 to 7 hours.
