This is a fast way to serve French Toast to a small group.
Ingredients
- French Toast
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 slices your favorite bread.
- Sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 6 ounces of fruit nectar
- 1 tablespoon honey
Directions
- French Toast
- Spray a cookie sheet with non stick spray and set aside.
- In a shallow bowl, beat eggs, milk, cinnamon and vanilla.
- Dip the bread slices, 1 at a time into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Place them on the cookie sheet.
- Bake at 450 degrees F. for 6 minutes, turn the slices over and bake 6 more minutes.
- Sauce
- In small saucepan whisk together the water and cornstarch.
- Stir in apricot nectar and honey.
- Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture thickens and begins to gently boil.
- Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
- Serve 2 slices of French Toast on each plate with warm sauce drizzled over them.
