Simple baked custard.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 quart milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Beat together the eggs and sugar in a bowl. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Pour mixture into custard cups, filling 2/3 of the way. Arrange in a shallow pan filled with hot water.
- Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until firm.
