Simple baked custard.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Beat together the eggs and sugar in a bowl. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour mixture into custard cups, filling 2/3 of the way. Arrange in a shallow pan filled with hot water.
  4. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until firm.
