This side dish has bright and fresh flavors of lemon and fresh parsley, making it a great accompaniment to baked or roasted chicken.


  • 1-1/2 cups orzo
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
  • Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste


  1. Cook orzo al dente according to package directions, drain and then empty into a large bowl.
  2. Add in the parsley, oil and lemon zest and stir to combine.
  3. Season the orzo mixture with salt and pepper to taste and serve.
