Battered chicken fried steak recipe.
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 pound round steak, tenderized
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- Mix together the egg, milk, salt and pepper in a shallow pan. Pour the flour into another shallow pan.
- Slice the steak into serving size pieces. Dip each piece first into the egg mixture and then into the flour.
- Heat the oil in a skillet and brown both sides of the steak pieces. Reduce the heat and continue frying until done.
