When a plain old bowl of oatmeal simply won't do, fuel up with this hearty hot cereal.

Ingredients

  • 2 packets plain instant oatmeal
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup dried blueberries or cherries
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 2 heaping tablespoons ground flax
  • 2 heaping tablespoons shredded coconut
  • Agave nectar or honey

Directions

  1. Prepare oatmeal with the milk according to package directions.
  2. Stir in berries, almonds, flax and coconut. Add more milk, if needed, to reach desired consistency.
  3. Sweeten with a drizzle of agave or honey. Serve hot.
